Hyderabad: A 28-year-old painter was found dead in a trench dug up for laying a water pipeline at Jawaharnagar on Monday. The deceased was, K Shiv Kumar, from Muthuswamy Colony in Jawaharnagar. On Monday morning, locals saw him lying dead in the water pipeline trench at Vikalangula Colony in Jawahar Nagar. There were no external injuries and police shifted the body for post-mortem after registering a suspicious death case.
20-year-old engg student dies in accident
A 20-year-old engineering student, N Sai Lokesh, died and his classmate Shankar suffered injuries when their bike crashed into a road median at Amdullapurmet on Sunday night. Sai Lokesh and Shankar are students of Netaji Engineering College in the city. The mishap occurred while the duo was returning from Narketpally to Hyderabad on Sunday night. The speeding bike crashed into the median near Ramadevi School at Abdullapurmet. While Lokesh died on the spot, his friend Shankar is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, Hayathnagar police said.
18-month-old girl dies after consuming kerosene
An 18-month-old girl who fell sick after accidentally consuming kerosene at her house in Kamatipura on Sunday night, has succumbed at Niloufer Hospital on Monday. The victim was, Safa Begum, daughter of Syed Javed and Sultana Begum from Osmanbagh in Kamatipura. On Sunday night, while playing at the house, Safa found a kerosene bottle without a lid. The child unknowingly consumed kerosene and immediately fell sick. Safa's mother rushed the baby to Niloufer hospital where she succumbed while undergoing treatment on Monday, Kamatipura SI K Srinivasulu said.
