13-year-old mowed down by van

HYDERABAD: A 13-year-old boy was mowed down by a speeding van at Sagar Road in Vanasthalipuram police limits on Sunday evening. The deceased was Akshar Patel from Sagar Complex in Sagar Road. At 6.30 pm, Akshar came to the Sagar Road on cycle and a speeding tempo van has hit him from behind. With bleeding injuries to head, Akshar died on the spot. After the accident, driver of the van applied sudden brake and the vehicle turned turtle on the road. Vanasthalipuram police arrested the van driver under section 304-a of the IPC.
