Youth held for making risky reel on railway bridge

Ballari: A youth has been arrested in Ballari for allegedly performing a dangerous stunt — for a social media reel — on a railway bridge near Kanaka Durgamma Temple.The accused is Vishwanath, a native of Uttar Pradesh and a resident of Ballari.
According to police, Vishwanath was seen standing on a high railway bridge, where trains frequently pass, while recording a dance reel. He later uploaded the video on his Instagram account, which soon caught the attention of authorities.Officials from the District Police Office's Social Media Cell, who actively monitor risky acts in public places and restricted areas, noticed the video. They analysed technical data to ascertain the exact location and identify the individual involved.Based on the evidence, personnel from the Brucepet police station traced Vishwanath and took him into custody. Legal action was initiated against him for endangering public safety and performing dangerous stunts in a prohibited zone.Police officials cautioned youngsters against risking their lives for online popularity. "Creating reels on railway tracks, electric poles, or high bridges is a punishable offence. Strict action will be taken against such acts," they warned.
