DHARWAD: It is common for the government to invite leading personalities from various fields and discuss with them the issues related to development of Bangalore. Similar attempts are not often made elsewhere in the state.
Akhila Karnataka Kendra Kannada Kriya Samiti (AKKKKS) will make stakeholders and intellectuals have a look at the path traversed by Karnataka and the steps to be taken for the development of the state.

AKKKKS, with Dharwad as base, has been rising to the occasion whenever the interest of Kannada and Karnataka are about to be endangered. Karnataka Vidyavardhaka Sangha has been the hub of pro-Kannada and Pro-Karnataka activities since decades.
AKKKKS president poet Channaveera Kanavi told reporters here that the two-day meet to be held on March 24-25 will review the progress made by the state so far and also discuss the guidelines for the future development, keeping in view the economic meltdown and other developments.
Tontadarya Mutt seer Siddhalingaswamy will inaugurate the meet on Tuesday at 10.30 am. in the presence of Karnataka Border Area Development Authority chairman Chandrakant Bellad, wirter Vishnu Naik and others.
There will be sessions on impact of economic meltdown on Karnataka, organic farming, education system, books and internet, management of problems arising out of globalization, future of industries in Karnataka, political scenario in Karnataka, cultural challenges before the state, social justice and visual media and woman. M C Kodli, Channappa Angadi, Shivashankar Hiremath, Siddu Yapalaparavi, Aravind Chokkadi, Madan Desai, K Raghavendra Rao, Balasaheb Lokapur, Rangaraj Vanadurga and P Chandrika will present the papers.

Writers Giraddi Govindraj, Gurulinga Kapse, Shankar Halagatti, Sadanand Kanavalli, Mrutyunjaya Shettar, Basalingaiah Hiremath, Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission chairman C S Dwarakanath, S G Siddaramaiah and Doddarange Gowda will be present.
Cultural programmes and poetry sessions will be organized as part of the meet.
