Kalaburagi: Regarding the complaint filed against senior leader and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha
Mallikarjun Kharge's ‘kill poisonous snake' statement, minister for rural development and panchayat raj and Kalaburagi district minister Priyank Kharge responded, saying, "Please file a complaint. Why has the RSS not filed a complaint? If the RSS is registered, write a complaint on its letterhead."
Speaking to the reporters on Thursday, he said: "Our philosophy is equal share and equality for all. We follow the principles of Buddha and Basava. It is our personal opinion that some people have anti-constitutional theories, which is is not right. What did Senior Kharge say anyway? He said to curb venomous snakes. Will anyone spill milk if they encounter a poisonous snake?" Priyank questioned. When asked about Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma speaking about Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, he said that he is talking like that out of fear of defeat.
"The central govt is responsible shortage of cooking gas, petrol and diesel in the country. When the war started in West Asia, the central govt here said it has enough fuel available. Then why was the Essential Commodities Act enacted? Why did Modi call upon people to face the problems stemming from the West Asia war akin to Coronavirus days? Modi govt's economic and foreign policies have caused hardship to the people of the country. Why Modi, who pats himself on the back as vishwaguru, didn't try to stop the war? In the past, when the Vietnam War was fought, then Prime Minister Nehru intervened," he said.
