Bijapur: A special squad of police arrested six persons in connection with a dacoity case that happened on July 3 at Gundawan village of Indi taluk.

BIJAPUR:A special squad of police arrested six persons in connection with a dacoity casethat happened on July 3 at Gundawan village of Indi taluk.Districtsuperintendent of police K V Shridhar said the dacoits were caught by tracingthe cell phone which they had stolen at the time dacoit. The culprits used thesame sim card even after the theft.The arrested persons wereidentified as Umesh Jatteppa Natikar, Ramesh Jatteppa Natikar, both fromChanegaon village of Indi taluk, Birappa Amasiddha Pujari of Nandaragi villageof Indi taluk, Chandu Vishwanath Landage of Hotagi, Gullya Jijagya Pawar ofKarjol village and Anil Vaman Bhosale of Nivaragi village.The policeseized cash, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 67,400, a country pistol anddeadly weapons.They were involved in more than four dacoits and 12theft cases. The value of the total stolen articles was Rs 2,49,300.
