He said the quality is being ensured in executing the works, which have been taken up in the flood-affected areas of the state.
As many as 1,800 houses are being constructed under the scheme in the state and the works were expected to be completed by October. The work on 300 houses will be over by August, 500 by September and 1,000 by October, he said.
To a query, Reddy said farmers are being shifted to safer places and they should accept the houses built by the government. He clarified that they can suggest changes only at the planning stage. But no farmer has so far complained about the scheme, he claimed.
However, some villagers told reporters that the houses, being built without focus on quality, are not meeting expectations.
