Minister MC Sudhakar inaugurates Indian Prosthodontic Society’s convention
Caption: Minister MC Sudhakar opens the 28th IPS convention on SaturdayBelagavi: Higher education minister MC Sudhakar inaugurated the 28th Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS) National PG Convention on Saturday at KLE Centenary Convention Centre, Belagavi. The event is being organised by the department of prosthodontics, KLE VK Institute of Dental Sciences. More than 2,300 delegates from across the country participated in the convention, which will focus on advancements and research in prosthodontics.Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sudhakar said dental colleges have come up in major cities of Karnataka and higher education is available. According to a report submitted by NITI Aayog in 2025, Karnataka is far ahead of other states in higher education. Dr Sudhakar noted that the state remains a most sought-after destination, partly due to the presence of high-quality private and deemed-to-be universities that offer specialised courses and modern infrastructure. The minister recalled his association with the Indian Prosthodontic Society, the fruitful learnings he gained from such conventions.Dr Prabhakar B Kore, Chancellor, KAHER, mentioned the transition towards painless and high-precision (acute) treatments through rapid technological adoption.
