Literary programme tomorrow

DHARWAD: Karnataka Vidyavardhaka Sangha here will host a literary programme on Saturday wherein the literary works of couple Lalitamba and S M Vrushabhendra Swamy would be released and discussed.
The special feature of the programme is the participation of couples in the proceedings. Shantadevi and Channaveera Kanavi, Tarini and Chidanandgouda and Yashoda and N P Bhat will release the volumes of comprehensive works of Lalitamba at 11 am.Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamy and Patil Puttappa will be present.
S Vidyashankar, Shivanand Kelaginamani and D M Hiremath will speak on the latest three works of professor S M Vrushabhendra Swamy at the second session commencing at 4 pm. Jinadatta Desai will preside.
Lalitamba, who was a professor at Karnatak University's College of Education, has published three volumes on vachanas and education. Her husband professor S M Vrushabhendra Swamy was the head of the department of Kannad studies in Karnatak University and has so far published over 20 books in Kannada.
