Koppal: Recognising the economic, social, and educational challenges faced by the Kuruba community, Kaginele Kanaka Guru Peetha pontiff Niranjananand Swamiji urged the community to come forward by becoming aware.During a programme held by the Kuruba community at Kalidas Educational Institution on Sunday, he highlighted the various socio-educational initiatives undertaken by the Kanaka Guru Peetha, with a primary focus on education.Given the educational disadvantages of the Kuruba community, numerous educational institutions were established in various locations to provide learning opportunities for underprivileged and marginalised children within the community, he explained.MLA K Raghavendra Hitnal emphasised, "Community members should prioritise education. By educating their children, they can integrate into the mainstream of society. Development can only be achieved through education."MP K Rajashekar Hitnal remarked, "The establishment of the Kanaka Guru Peeth has elevated the status of Kurubas in the state. Previously, the existence of a significant number of Kurubas in the state was largely unrecognised.
