KLE Technological University organises apprenticeship and job fair

Inaugurating the event, vice-chancellor PG Tewari emphasised the value of apprenticeship training, stating it builds confidence alongside vocational education, which is often limited during college. "Students from North Karnataka must seize these opportunities," he urged.Rahul Asati, assistant director, Board of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai, highlighted how southern states promote such job fairs for college students and encouraged proactive participation.Dileep SN, department of technical education, Bengaluru, called on Karnataka graduates to leverage the event for top corporate positions.Principal Prof Veeresh Angadi welcomed the gathering, urging eligible students to utilise the fair. Prof SM Wali offered invocation prayers, Prof Santosh Kanthi (training and placement officer) proposed the vote of thanks, and Hema Javali compered the programme. This initiative reflects KLE Tech's commitment to bridging academia and industry, empowering students with practical career pathways.The event attracted over 500 candidates from BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, BCA, diploma, and engineering streams, providing them with direct access to apprenticeship and employment opportunities.More than 25 companies participated in the placement drive, including Tata Power Solar Renewable Energy Ltd, Tata Motors, Dharwad, Ather Energy (mobilisation partner), Tata Electronics System Solutions, Kolar, ABS Fujitsu Gen Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd, Mangaluru. Tata Electronics System Solutions, Kolar, conducted on-site interviews, issuing offer letters to selected students for immediate job placements.
