BELAGAVAI: Shri Sevalal Banjara Samaj Seva Sangh has urged the district administration to allot land for poor families of Lambani community for housing purpose.

Several women members of the community, led by BCC councillor Anushri Deshpande, submitted a memorandum to the district administration on Monday seeking allotment of 18 acres and 24 gunta land available at Basavan Kudachi village for the community. They said there are around 3,000 families families living in sheds in the city. Though they have been demanding for sites since many years, the government has not taken any step in this regard.
