Grand procession marks Shivaji Jayanti in Belagavi

Around 2,200 police personnel were deployed to ensure incident-free celebration.According to the city police commissioner, the procession route was under continuous surveillance, with over 1,000 CCTV cameras installed at key junctions, and 10 drones monitoring movement. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, organised by Madhyavarti Shiv Jayanti Committee, was inaugurated on Tuesday evening. Thousands of devotees and dignitaries, including Ravi Patil, Murughendragouda Patil, participated in the palki procession of Goddess Bhavani.More than 60 tableaux were the attraction of the procession, which began at Nargundkar Bhave Chowk and moved through Maruti Galli, Hutatma Chowk, Ramdev Galli, College Road, and ended near Kapileshwar Temple. MLA Asif Sait, police commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulabrao were present.
