HUBBALLI: Former minister Basavaraj Horatti has demanded that the government hand over the case of IAS officer D K Ravi's mysterious death to the CBI.
"If the government does not do so, it will be spreading a wrong message to honest government servants who will be worried about discharging their services effectively," he said. He also accused the government of spreading rumours about Ravi's personal life.
When asked about the genuineness of CID, he said there is no denying that Karnataka has one of the best police forces in the country. "However, when doubts are being expressed about the government, it should not hold the investigation," he pointed out and added that tclamour is growing even among the Congressmen for a CBI probe with 50% elected representatives from the party in favour of it.
