Basavadi Shivasharana Mega Hindu Convention

Gadag: Basavadi Shivasharanas are not confined to any one framework or caste; They are great figures who purified the entire Hindu religion, said Adrushya Kadasiddheshwara Swami of Kaneri Mutt, Kolhapur.

Addressing the massive Hindu convention of Basavadi Shivasharanas held under the Hindu Sarva Samajgala Okkuta here on Sunday, Swami said that followers of Karl Marx’s ideology, which led to the massacre of 10 crore people, are now coming under Basavanna’s flag and distorting history. “Hindu society must awaken against communist ideologies, which are trying to turn a lie into truth by repeating it a hundred times. Some wrongly propagate that Basavanna completely rejected the Vedas, Agamas, and Puranas. There is a reference in the vachanas of the Sharanas that God himself created the Vedas and Agamas. Basavanna’s vachanas mention 52 events from the Puranas, and the Sharanas identified the science within them. How could Basavanna, who said God is one with many names, be against the Puranas?” he questioned.

The book ‘Hindutva in Basava Shaivism Volume 2’, authored by DA Upadhyaya and the book ‘Vachananusandhana’ by C Shivakumar Swamiji was also inaugurated. Federation president Vasantagouda Polisapatil, Chandru Balihallimath, Vachanananda Swamiji, Amritanandaji Maharaj from Haridwar, Nargund MLA CC Patil, MLC SV Sankanur, BJP district president Raju Kurudagi, and others were present.
