SILCHAR: The Railway Protection Force (
RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway has nabbed three Bangladeshi Rohingya, all women, and one Indian agent from an Agartala-Delhi train at Badarpur station.
NFR spokesman Sabyasachi De on Monday said the three women, who are Myanmar nationals and belong to the ethnic Rohingya Muslim community, had illegally entered India and were travelling on the 20501 Agartala–Anand Vihar Terminal Tejas Rajdhani from Agartala last week.
A RPF team that was escorting the train detected the four ‘suspicious passengers’ during a regular checking. Following interrogation, they could not produce any valid documents. Later, the the women confessed that they were from a Bangladeshi Rohingya refugee camp and had entered into the Indian territory with the help of the Indian agent.
