Progress of groundwork at Namrup fertiliser plant reviewed

Dibrugarh: Months after PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the ambitious Rs 10,600-crore Ammonia-Urea Fertiliser Plant at Namrup, a high-level delegation led by JB Ekka, chairman of Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Ltd, and SP Mohanty, managing director, Brahmaputra Valley and Fertilizer Ltd, visited the site on Tuesday to spearhead a comprehensive on-ground review of the ongoing groundwork.The project, designed to produce 12.7 lakh MT of urea annually, is envisioned as the cornerstone of India’s agricultural self-reliance and a catalyst for a “New Era of Industrial Progress” in Assam.“Our focus is to translate the PM’s vision into reality by establishing a state-of-the-art complex that utilises the latest technology to serve the farmers of the northeast and beyond. Today’s review ensures that every gear in our execution machinery is moving in perfect synchronisation,” JB Ekka said.
