NaMo app push: Modi to interact with Assam voters on Mar 30
Guwahati: BJP is gearing up for a high-voltage outreach led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Assam with direct interaction with party workers and the people of the state at 1pm on Monday, through the NaMo app, in what the state unit is billing as a ‘unique digital connect’.BJP has urged its cadre and citizens to register on the NaMo app to be part of the interaction.

State leaders said the initiative aims at strengthening grassroots engagement and ensuring that the Prime Minister’s message reaches every household. Calling for mass participation, the party said it is an unprecedented opportunity for ‘karyakartas’ and the people of Assam to connect directly with the Prime Minister.Meanwhile, the BJP’s star campaigners are set to hit the ground. Amit Shah will address rallies in Central Guwahati on March 28, Dhekiajuli and Tihu on March 29, and return to campaign in Patharkandi and Silchar on April 2. Rajnath Singh is scheduled for Tezpur and Dergaon on March 31, while Devendra Fadnavis will cover Jorhat and Dibrugarh.

On the opposition side, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will arrive in Lakhimpur on March 29 to lead the party’s campaign, signalling a direct face-off between national leaders in Assam’s electoral battleground.
