Dimapur: Counting of votes for the by-election to the Koridang assembly constituency will take place at the training hall in Mokokchung DC office complex from 8am on Monday.
Polling for the bypoll was held with a high voter turnout of 82.21% on April 9. The bypoll was necessitated following the death of sitting MLA Imkong L Imchen.
There are 30 polling stations in the constituency. Counting will be conducted in 10 EVM tables along with one returning officer table, sources said.
A total of six candidates are in the fray for the seat. They are
BJP’s Daochier I Imchen, Congress’s Chalukumba Ao, National People’s Party’s I Abenjang and three Independent candidates Major (rtd) Toshikaba, Imtiwapang Kichu and Imchatoba Imchen.
