GUWAHATI: For the first time,
IIT-Kharagpur
will survey institutes in the northeast to look for participants for its
annual techno-management fest Kshitij
.
Yash Bajaj, a leading organizer of the fest, said the Bengal institution, the oldest of the IITs, will approach
technical institutes
and students from the northeast to join the 14th edition of the mega fest that has grown exponentially since its inception in 2004.
"We did not touch the
northeastern region
in the earlier editions of the fest. This is the first time that we will approach the talent of the northeast. We will give them ample opportunities to showcase their potential during the mega fest," said Bajaj.
The participation process for the fest has already started. The events will be held from January 27 to 29.
"Renowned organizations like ACM, IEEE, ASME, ASHRAE and IMechE certify the numerous events of the fest. Besides, Kshitij also hosts workshops conducted by
technical giants
like IBM, Deloitte and Texas Instruments," said an organizer.
