Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Thursday said his govt has consistently prioritised the education and healthcare sectors.
Speaking after inaugurating a new administrative block, a prefabricated badminton and judo hall, and a recreation hall at Dera Natung Govt College, Khandu said his govt was committed to bridging infrastructure gaps across educational institutions.
He also announced the creation of an “Arunachal Creative Economy” cell in the CM’s office to promote talent in fields such as arts, music, weaving, and other creative sectors, and to provide global platforms for local talent.
Informing students about the govt’s scholarship initiative, which offers full sponsorship to those securing admission in the world’s top 150 universities, Khandu urged them to take advantage of the opportunity for global exposure.
Highlighting the rollout of ‘Mission Shikshit Arunachal 2029’, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, the chief minister said his govt was upgrading their infrastructure, while implementing academic reforms to bring education standards in line with global benchmarks.
