Guv pats 2 Mtn Div GOC for Walong Day success

Itanagar: GOC of 2 Mountain Division, Major general VS Deshpande, called on governor Lt Gen KT Parnaik (retd) on Wednesday at the Raj Bhavan and discussed the Vibrant Border Village programme, along the international border, and the army's execution of Sadbhavana projects.
The governor, who recently attended the Walong Day celebrations, congratulated Maj Gen Deshpande and his team on the successful celebration of the month-long programme. "The event promoted a sense of pride among the local communities, making them feel as a part of the 1962 Sino-Indian War," Parnaik said, reports Joken Ete.
