BJP supporters in Dhubri protest against Cong state president

Dhubri: Thousands of BJP supporters from across the Dhubri district took to the streets on Sunday in protest against APCC president and MP Gaurav Gogoi for his alleged link with Pakistan.

The rally took out from the BJP district head office and proceeded to Panchmore in front of the Netaji statue. For an hour, slogans such as ‘Gaurav Gogoi Murdabad (down down Gaurav Gogoi)’, ‘Gaurav Gogoiak Geraftar Korok (arrest Gaurav Gogoi)’ and others echoed through the area.




Dhubri district BJP president Ranjit Kumar Ray, while talking to the media, alleged that three of Gaurav’s four family members are not Indian Ahom, Indian or Hindu.

“Apart from these, his and his wife’s links with Pakistan, as alleged in the press meet today by chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Gaurav Gogoi should be put behind bars,” Ray said.
