Aizawl: At least 151 pigs have died due to resurgence of the African Swine Fever (ASF) in Mizoram this year even as the outbreak is confined to central Mizoram’s Serchhip town and Durtlang neighbourhood in northern part of Aizawl, state animal husbandry and veterinary department officials said on Friday.
The officials said 40 families have been affected in three localities of Serchhip town and two localities of Aizawl city till date with 39 pigs being culled so far to prevent further spread of the dreaded porcine disease.
