Arunachal min bats for digitisation in health sector
Itanagar: Arunachal health and family welfare minister Biyuram Wahge Thursday emphasised the need for digitisation in the health sector and the establishment of a data centre for effective data management.Chairing a regional review meeting for deputy commissioners, district medical officers, PHE & WS executive engineers and DRCHOs of Namsai, Longding, Tirap, Anjaw, Lower Dibang Valley, Changlang, Dibang Valley and Lohit organised by the Arunachal Pradesh Health Society at Namsai, Wahge said human resource mapping is under way and it will soon be digitised.Reitering the state govt's commitment to reforming the healthcare sector, he sought blueprints of the district hospitals to create a mobile application to display hospital layouts and provide navigation support.He also urged all the stakeholders to update and adapt to digital solutions.The minister also called for innovative measures for cancer awareness campaigns through street plays and social media platforms.To enhance security in healthcare centres, Wahge requested SPs to engage at least two police personnel in hospitals.He urged all stakeholders to adopt a forward-looking vision for their districts to strengthen public trust in state healthcare facilities and reduce dependency on outside care. In the meeting, ensuring prescribed tests under free diagnostic services in every district hospital, CHC, PHC and sub centres, implementation of E-prescription, awareness on Tele Manas were also discussed.Later, Wahge inaugurated the district integrated public health laboratory under PM-ABHIM at Namsai district hospital.Advisor to health & family welfare minister Dr Mohesh Chai while acknowledging the challenges faced by the department, emphasised that the primary goal must remain to deliver quality healthcare services to people.Praising the initiatives introduced by Wahge, he expressed hope that results will be reflected soon in the areas of infrastructure, service delivery and digitisation.Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom urged the minister to establish a de-addiction, rehabilitation and skilling centre at Namsai.During the meeting, DCs and DMOs of the respective districts presented reports on their health parameters wherein they highlighted their achievements, challenges and vision for improvement.
