Army to explore Arunachal’s geopolitical & security dynamics at Dinjan event
Dibrugarh: Indian Army is set to host a two-day seminar titled “Arunachal Pradesh: India’s Dynamic Frontier,” recognising the strategic and socio-cultural importance of India’s easternmost frontier.
The event will take place on Feb 13 and 14 at the Dinjan Military Station in Dibrugarh.
Organised by the Dao Division under the aegis of the Spear Corps, the seminar aims to promote a deeper understanding of the geopolitical and security complexities of the region. By bringing together a diverse array of security experts, academicians, and policymakers, the Army intends to create a robust roadmap for the state’s integrated growth and defence.
The seminar is structured around three core thematic sessions designed to offer a holistic perspective. These sessions will provide insights into the unique socio-cultural fabric of the state, the evolving dynamics and challenges along its borders, and the critical development projects currently underway.
The Army emphasised that the discussions will focus on people-centric approaches, ensuring that infrastructure and security go hand-in-hand to sustain stability along the eastern frontier.
“The seminar will provide a comprehensive platform to deliberate upon the developmental imperatives of the state. Our goal is to generate valuable perspectives that strengthen strategic awareness and reinforce civil-military cooperation in this vital frontier,” a spokesperson for the Spear Corps said.
The event will see active participation from the armed forces, civil administration, and academia, highlighting the importance of a “whole-of-nation” approach to border management. Beyond traditional defence, the seminar will examine how inclusive development serves as a pillar for national security. The outcomes of these deliberations are expected to enhance operational preparedness and promote a stronger synergy between the military and local communities.
