Silchar: Key cities in the northesat, including Silchar, Imphal, Aizawl, Shillong and Passighat, are set to witness enhanced air connectivity between Mar 29 and Oct 24 with Alliance Air reintroducing flights on these routes in their summer schedule.
Under the new proposed plan, Alliance Air will operate multiple ATR-72 services linking Guwahati with Imphal, Silchar, Aizawl and Passighat, offering passengers improved frequency and better same-day connections. Early morning and mid-day departures have been scheduled to facilitate smoother travel.
Silchar will continue to remain a crucial hub in the Barak Valley air network, with daily flights to and from Imphal and onward connections to Guwahati. Similarly, Imphal will see multiple rotations connecting it with Silchar, Aizawl and Guwahati, strengthening inter-state connectivity in the region.
Aizawl is set to benefit from enhanced services linking it with Guwahati, Imphal and Shillong on select days, while Passighat will remain connected with Guwahati and Shillong, ensuring continued access to Arunachal Pradesh’s eastern districts.
Airline officials said the summer schedule has been planned keeping in mind aircraft rotations, passenger demand and regional connectivity goals.
Alliance Air has sought necessary regulatory approvals for the proposed schedule. Once cleared, tickets are expected to be available for booking shortly.
