15 B’deshis, 5 Indian touts held in Tripura

Agartala: Thirteen Bangladeshi nationals (three women, as many men and seven children), along with three Indian facilitators, were arrested during an intelligence-driven operation targeting infiltration in Kailasahar's border villages in Unakoti district. Additionally, a separate operation conducted with Tripura Police led to the capture of two Bangladeshi nationals near old ONGC while attempting to cross into Bangladesh, as per the statement. According to a BSF statement released on Friday, the Bangladeshi nationals were identified as residents of Moulvibazar, Sunamgunj, Netragunj, Netrokona, and Barisal districts. The Indian facilitators were identified as Kajal Das from Silchar in Assam, Ajit Das from Unakoti and Prasanjit Debnath from Dhalai in Tripura.To combat illegal border crossings, a joint operation with Government Railway Police was executed on Thursday night at Agartala Railway Station. The operation resulted in the arrest of two more Indian nationals who were assisting unauthorised entry of Bangladeshi citizens into India.
