Six arrested for betting on World Cup cricket match

GURGAON: The city police busted a cricket betting gang on Friday night and arrested six persons.
The accused were caught betting on the World Cup match between South Africa and New Zealand. The police recovered Rs 1 lakh, nine mobile phones and an LCD set.
Following a raid at a spot near Sethi Hospital on Railway Road, the police arrested Naresh Kumar, Anil, Jitendra and Rajbeer Singh, residents of Islampur village; Gajendra, a resident of Vasant Kunj in Delhi; and Amit Kumar, a resident of Gurgaon.

They were later granted bail by a city court.
