KURUKSHETRA: Dr Gurpreet Kaur, the wife-to-be of Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, hails from a village in Pehowa area of Kurukshetra district in Haryana.
Gurpreet's uncle Gurjinder Singh Natt, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), said she is presently serving as a doctor. Natt said that there were talks of marriage in the family for about two years.
He said the family is happy about this relationship.
He said Gurpreet Kaur studied at the medical college at Maharishi Markandeshwar University (MMU) in Mullana.
Gurpreet's father Inderjit Singh Natt has a property at Natt Farm in Madanpur village area in Pehowa.
He said Inderjit Singh was sarpanch of Madanpur village and they lived at their home in Tilak Colony in Pehowa.
"Nearly a year ago, Inderjit's family bought a house in Mohali and started living there. I have been informed by my brother that Gurpreet is getting married to Punjab CM," said Gurjinder Singh.
