Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann to marry Gurpreet Kaur tomorrow

Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann is all set to tie the nuptial knot with Dr Gurpreet Kaur in Chandigarh on Thursday, six years after getting divorced from his first wife. Mann will get married in a private ceremony and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal is likely to attend the function, party sources said.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann is all set to tie the knot with Dr Gurpreet Kaur at Chandigarh on Thursday, six years after getting divorced from his first wife.Mann will get married in a private ceremony and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is likely to attend the function, party sources said.Cabinet minister Harjot Singh Bains tweeted, “Wishing my chief minister Bhagwant Mann ji a very happy and blessed married life ahead. I wish them both a lifetime of love, respect, and companionship.”
Meanwhile, Mann also tweeted to thank the Lok Sabha speaker for sending him good wishes.
The social media was also abuzz with various memes about Mann’s marriage.Mann’s first wife Inderjeet Kaur and their two children – Dilshan and Seerat – live in the US. The two had come to attend the swearing in ceremony of Mann as chief minister in March.In March 2015, Mann and his first wife had filed for divorce in a Mohali court.Mann’s wife-to-be is from Pehowa in Kurukshetra district of Haryana.Preparations have begun at Maan's official residence in Chandigarh. Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring tweeted, “My heartiest congratulations to CM Bhagwant Mann Ji as he starts a new chapter in his life tomorrow. Best wishes for a happy and blissful married life ahead.”
