GURUGRAM: Four youths were arrested early on Monday for allegedly looting four truckers at gunpoint in Dhankot village and Basai road.
Police said the first loot took place around 12.30am on Monday in Dhankot village when two truck drivers were travelling from Rohtak to Badshapur carrying soft drink bottles for delivery. The two drivers, Kailash and Satish, told police when they reached Dhankot village, six youths on two motorcycles intercepted them, forced them out of their trucks and thrashed them. “One of them hit my head with the butt of the pistol and snatched our mobile phones, cash and fled with our trucks,” as Kailash stated in his complaint.
The gang looted two other truk drivers on Basai road when the drivers were resting. They broke the windows, hit the drivers with the butt of their guns and fled with their ATM cards, cash and other valuables, beside their trucks.
Four of the gang members were nabbed from Dwarka Expressway while two others are still absconding. They have been sent to two-day police remand.
