A dispute over a loading-unloading contract turned violent in the Ansal Industrial Area of village Pathredi, Bilaspur, on Wednesday afternoon, with two groups clashing and damaging several vehicles.
Gurgaon: A dispute over a loading-unloading contract turned violent in the Ansal Industrial Area of Pathredi village on Wednesday, leaving several vehicles damaged and prompting police action against those involved.According to police, members of two groups confronted each other over a contract-related dispute at a company in the industrial area. The argument escalated into a clash, during which vehicles parked nearby were vandalised and some people sustained injuries.Sources claimed that gunshots were heard during the confrontation, triggering panic among people in the area. However, police said they were still verifying the allegation and had not confirmed any firing incident.ACP Pataudi Manoj said, “A case has been registered at Bilaspur police station against the individuals involved in the incident. We found that cars were damaged. About the firing, we are verifying if there was any firing incident involved in the case.”Following information about the clash, teams from Bilaspur police station, the office of the ACP and crime branch Farrukhnagar reached the spot and launched an investigation.
Police are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify those involved.During the investigation, police found four vehicles at the scene, including a Swift, a Thar and two Brezza cars. “Two of these vehicles did not have number plates. A black Scorpio was also found parked in suspicious circumstances,” an officer said.Officials are verifying the ownership of the vehicles and examining whether they were linked to those involved in the clash.According to sources, members of both groups fled before police arrived, with some allegedly escaping through routes near Bilaspur village.A police officer said 10 accused, including the main accused, have been apprehended in connection with the case.
