Congested MG Road spells trouble for residents of Beverly Park II
GURGAON: Despite promises made by the Gurgaon administration and the HUDA to make it a no-tolerance zone, the MG Road continues to be encroached upon by vendors while its service lanes are still being used for illegal parking.
This is not only preventing a smooth flow of traffic, but is also causing inconvenience to people living in the residential complexes located on this stretch.

Those living in Beverly Park II have been especially facing a lot of problems.
Adding to their problem is a service lane in front of their complex, a major portion of which was dug up six months ago by the HUDA for the removal of some old pipes. However, the road has not been re-carpeted ever since and the area is in a total mess. Vijai Kapur, a resident of Beverly Park II said, As the road is all dug up, people park their vehicles in front of our houses. Malls are located in the area and thus there is a huge crowd, especailly duing during evening hours and on weekends.
In October last year, former DC RK Kataria and HUDA administrator Nitin Yadav had visited the road and announced that it would don a new look, spruced with green belt.
DC P C Meena said, I would get the project reviewed. HUDA administrator Nitin Yadav also promised to look in to the matter. However, DCP (traffic) Bharti Arora informed: We are going to write to all mall owners on this stretch asking them not to allow parking in front of housing complexes.
