City to host national conference on dermatology from February 3

A national conference on new developments in the field of dermatology is being organized by the Haryana branch of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) along with PGIMS, Rohtak, from February 3 to 6.

GURGAON: A national conference on new developments in the field of dermatology is being organized by the Haryana branch of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) along with PGIMS, Rohtak, from February 3 to 6.
As many as 4,500 delegates from across India and neighbouring countries have registered for this conference.

Dr VK Jain, organizing secretary of IADVL, said, "It is a matter of pride for our state to hold a conference of this magnitude for the first time. Eminent faculty comprising experienced luminaries from national and international arena have been invited to interact with the delegates during the scientific deliberations with their knowledge, skills and vast experience."
Dr Jain added that more than 25 international speakers are going to deliver their expertise during the conference. He said that more than 150 national eminent faculty will also participate in various sessions, meetings and will interact with the delegates and near about seven hundred papers of research are going to be presented.
Jain informed that skin-related problems have been on the rise due to changing lifestyles, stress and pollution. Keeping this in mind, the conference will begin with a session on stress management. The national conference will also provide for plenary lectures, sub-speciality symposia, interactive sessions, group discussions, video presentations, laser workshops, award paper sessions, and free paper sessions along with poster sessions.

Dr Jain said that all these will enable the younger dermatologists to interact with the very best in the speciality so as to update themselves with the latest developments. He further added: "In this conference, we offer our participants a unique platform to exchange information, share education, experience and review technology."
Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will inaugurate the conference.
