GURGAON: A cab driver was killed in a hit-and-run after being struck by a speeding, unidentified vehicle on the Sohna-Palwal road late Wednesday night. The driver fled the spot, and efforts are underway to trace the accused.

Rajkumar, worked as a cab driver, police said. He is survived by his wife and three children.
According to police, Rajkumar was standing by the roadside when the vehicle rammed into him, leaving him critically injured. Passers-by rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police said they received information about the incident shortly after it occurred. A team from Sohna City police station reached the spot, conducted a preliminary inspection and began an investigation.
A case has been registered under Sections 106 (causing death by negligence) and 281 (rash driving) of the BNS. The body has been sent for post-mortem, which has been conducted.
Officials said CCTV footage from nearby areas is being scanned to identify the vehicle.
