Bike collides with another, salon staffer returning after work dies
Gurgaon: A 23-year-old salon worker succumbed to severe injuries one day after his bike was hit by another motorcycle near Sikanderpur Rapid Metro station. A case was registered on Tuesday. Siddhu Oran, a native of Jalpaiguri in West Bengal, worked at a salon in Sector 53 and lived in Delhi with his family. According to a complaint filed by his mother, Tapsi Oran, Siddhu left for work on March 15 at around 9:30 am but did not return home that evening. Around 11:30pm, the family received information from a local hospital that Siddhu had been admitted there after being injured in an accident. He was later shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi for further treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries on March 16. Police said Siddhu was returning home from work on a motorcycle driven by Ankit, a resident of Nathupura. When they reached near Sikanderpur Rapid Metro station, an unidentified biker allegedly hit their vehicle from the side, causing both riders to fall and sustain injuries. Passersby informed the police control room and the victims were taken to a local hospital.After his death, based on the complaint and medical report, police registered a case under sections 281(rash driving) and 106(causing death due to negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against an unidentified motorcyclist at DLF Phase 1 police station.In another case, a 26-year-old woman, Ragini Rauniyar, who was on ventilator support since March 8 after an unidentified vehicle hit her bicycle in Sector 90, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.
