Win proves gods with me: Shirodkar
Ghanashyam Shirodkar, who was elected the new chairperson of Margao Municipal Council (MMC), on Friday said his victory has debunked all claims of Margao MLA Digambar Kamat that his defection had God’s approval.
Taking over
“Today is Friday, the day of Mahalakshmi; and I have received the deity’s ‘prasad’ (blessings in approval)). My victory proves that the real ‘prasad’ of the gods is in my favour,” Shirodkar told reporters after being elected the chairperson.
He said that resolving the Sonsoddo issue would be his top-most priority, apart from developing a parking lot.
