Thunderstorms likely today and tomorrow
Panaji: Goa experienced a welcome relief from the scorching heat as pre-monsoon showers lightly graced parts of the state, offering respite to residents. Despite the rainfall, the maximum temperature across the state remained relatively steady.
On Monday, Panaji recorded the highest temperature at 34.8 degrees celsius, while Dabolim the lowest at 25.4 degrees celsius.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm warning accompanied by lightning and winds gusting to 30-40 kmph at isolated places on May 14 and 15. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected at a few places on May 14, with light rain likely at isolated spots from May 15 to 19.
The IMD also mentioned the chances of haze in the morning in isolated areas on May 14 without significant change in the maximum temperature for the next five days. Maximum and minimum temperatures are anticipated to hover around 35 degrees celsius and 26 degrees celsius, respectively, over the next 24 hours.
