Taxi unions demand apology from Mauvin
Panaji: Taxi union leaders condemned transport minister Mauvin Godinho, who claimed that taxi operators fought among themselves during the meeting called on March 5 with chief minister Pramod Sawant. Taxi operators, who gathered outside the transport department office, demanded an apology from Godinho. They demanded that the CCTV footage from the meeting be released to prove if Godinho is lying or telling the truth.

“This is the politics of Mauvin Godinho. He is trying to show that the Yellow-and-Black taxi operators are ready to accept the Goa Digital Taxi app,” said Chetan Kamat, president of the All Goa Taxi Association. Sunil Naik, president of the North Goa and South Goa Taxi Owners Association, denied that taxi operators tried to beat up each other during the meeting with Sawant.
