Talak's film 'O Maria' to premiere at Iffi

PANAJI: Rajendra N Talak's Konkani film O Maria, Amol Palekar's Dhoosar (Marathi) and Nauka Doobi (Bengali) by Rituparno Ghosh are the films selected to be screened under the Indian Premiere section for the 41st International Film Festival of India (Iffi), Goa 2010.
According to the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), the nodal agency for IFFI Goa, the other entries received were Ramabai Bhimrao Ambedkar by Prakash Jadhav, Nau Savva Nauchi Vel Hoti (It was between nine-nine fifteen) by Gajendra Ahire, Jetuka Patar Dare (Enchanting, challenging…The life) by Jadumoni Dutta, Khap by Ajai Sinha and Antardah (The wrath) by Pitamber Kale.
The selection committee comprised award winning cinematographer H M Ramchandra Halkare, film producer V Swaminathan, director Nimmala Shankar, Shyamaprasad, New Delhi-based and Guwahati (Assam)-born film critic/ journalist Utpal Borpujari, Sekhar Das among others.
