Sunburn gets govt nod, to be held at Vagator next mnth

Panaji: After a gap of three years, electronic dance music (EDM) festival, Sunburn, is set to return to the state on February 23 and 24. The Goa government has given its nod for conducting the two-day EDM at Vagator.

The festival will resume its journey in Goa under the name Sunburn Klassique. Percept Live, the wholly owned subsidiary of Percept Ltd, has entered intoa long-term collaboration with Goa-based Klassique to co-promote all Sunburn events in Goa.

Klassique, represented by Shailesh Shetty, will be responsible for all local logistics and permissions, Percept Live said in a statement issued on Thursday.

Sunburn will host multiple stages featuring an elite mix of artists in a throwback to its early years. The event will also host a food court, flea markets, recreational stalls, games and a lot more.

Sunburn moved to Pune in 2017 after Percept Live failed to resolve the issue of its pending bills with the government. The organisers disputed the bills raised by the police department, and the matter is pending before a redressal forum.
