On Tuesday, another turtle was spotted in the same place at around 11pm by beach shack workers who informed the forest department which had marked the area with bamboo poles. The turtle went back to sea after laying eggs. When forest department staff visited the site a few hours later, they recovered 103 eggs which have been shifted to the turtle hatchery in Morjim to ensure safe and protected hatching.
