Quepem man held for rash driving

MARGAO: Quepem police on Tuesday arrested Sebastian Thomas, 60, a resident of Amona, Quepem, on charges of driving his jeep in a rash and negligent manner. This followed Thomas hitting a pedestriana"Parvati Mahadev Gaonkara"near the Kushavati bridge in Quepem last week. Police sources told TOI that Thomas was on his way to Tilamol from the Quepem market when the accident occurred.The pedestrian, aged 65, sustained injuries on her leg.Though Thomas fled from the scene of the crime immediately after the incident, police managed to trace the vehicle and subsequently the accused.
