Plaint against cutting of hill

Calangute: In two separate complaints to the chief secretary, Calangute Constituency Forum (CCF) has alleged violations by a beachside resort at Tivaiwaddo and hill-cutting by a builder at Boa Viagem.

In the first complaint, CCF stated that the ongoing construction has resulted in significant damage to the environment and destruction of the ecosystem.

In the second complaint, CCF stated that a huge area of sand dune vegetation has been destroyed by the owners of a private resort at Tivaiwaddo. tnn
