Pernem man hurt in Sangolda bike accident

Calangute: Prahlad Rajaram Parab, a resident of Varkhand, Pernem, was seriously injured in a collision between a car and a two-wheeler at Sangolda around 1am on Sunday.Saligao police said the car driver, Bhimanaraya Kale, speeding from Guirim to Sangolda, hit Parab’s bike coming from Pilerne to Thivim, causing multiple fractures. Parab is undergoing treatment at GMC, Bambolim.Following a complaint by Parab's brother, Bhagyawan Parab, Saligao police registered an offence against Kale under sections 281, 125(a) and 125(b) of the BNS and sections 134(a) and 134(b) of the Motor Vehicles Act for rash and negligent driving. Further investigations are under way.
