Porvorim Police on Sunday arrested Nepali national Alexendar Dorji for allegedly stealing a motor cycle registered at Panaji, and recovered one Yamaha bike worth 12,000.

PANAJI: Porvorim Police on Sunday arrested Nepali national Alexendar Dorji for allegedly stealing a motor cycle registered at Panaji, and recovered one Yamaha bike worth 12,000.
Police sources said tghat they led the accused into a trap and arrested him in Porvorim, after receiving information from reliable sources.
They also said that the accused was working as a cook at fast-food corners in various places in Goa, and for the past eight months, he was riding the bike which he stole from Panaji.

So far, the accused has committed theft of four two -wheelers.
"The accused had been convicted in two cases and the modus operandi of the accused is that once he is released from jail after completing his punishment, he commits theft of motorcycles for personal use", police said.
The Porvorim police arrest him under Section 41 CrPC and handed him over to the Panaji police. "Panji police took the custody of accused", they said.
