MLAs to file financial statements

PANAJI: The office of Goa Lokayukta has stated that all the public functionaries will have to file statements of assets and liabilities for the financial year 2014-15 by June 30.
They should file statements in the prescribed format in Form III, provided under Rule 13 of the Goa Lokayukta Rule, 2012, in terms of the provisions of Sub section (1) of Section 21 of the Goa Lokayukta Act, 2011, to the institution of Goa Lokayukta.Public functionaries include MLAs, ministers, chairman, vice-chairman of government corporations or any other government bodies. Non-compliance with the above requirements shall attribute the consequences provided in the Goa Lokayukta Act, 2011, states a press release.
