Margao man drowns in Mhadei river
Valpoi: A 28-year-old Margao resident, Mabuli Patel, drowned in the Mhadei river at Dhada, near Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Valpoi, Sattari, on Sunday evening. Valpoi fire and emergency services and police initiated a search and rescue operation after the incident.
The search resumed on Monday morning, and the body was recovered from the river. It was handed over to Valpoi police and sent for postmortem examination.
Further investigation is under way.
