India fortunate youth guided by ideals of Swami Vivekananda: CM

Panaji: Youth in our country are driven by the ideals of great men like Swami Vivekananda, who believed in building a good human being first to help in nation-building, chief minister Pramod Sawant said on Thursday.“Swami Vivekananda believed in shaping the country through shaping individuals. Until we shape human beings as required, we will not be able to build the nation. Today, we are seeing the state of our neighbouring country, Nepal. We can see it for ourselves. Why did such a state occur in Nepal, and who created this situation — Gen Z. In our country, we are inspired by the ideals of those like Swami Vivekananda, and it helps us work towards nation-building,” said Sawant, while inaugurating the new premises of Swami Vivekananda Kendra in Porvorim.He said the Indian youth are fortunate to have inherited the ideals of some of the greatest minds.The CM thanked Subhavati Bhobe for donating land at Porvorim for the Swami Vivekananda Kendra.“We are witnessing a historic moment today. For many years, there were efforts to create a space for Swami Vivekananda Kendra. Bhobe has made a very important contribution not just for the institute but also for Goa,” said Sawant.This centrally located institute in Goa will continue to guide the state’s youth, he added.
